Luke Gooden’s approach to photography studies the dualism between human nature and mother nature in relation to the self through fashion and landscape. The images open spaces and tender moments allow the viewer to place themselves within it and explore the frame both emotively and analytically. The curious optimism in his work introduces the emphasis towards finding what is there and what could be rather than what isn’t.
Through writing, narratives are created of moments in time, sonnets of the self in relation to the world and existential joys in the face of the absurdity in the human condition. These work in tandem with the image philosophy to bolster the cohesive exchange between word, image and interpretation.
